Being a new mom, there were so many new things I had to learn about what I needed for my baby. I probably had a list of a million things that I know for sure I may not use, but I felt I needed. I think many new moms go through this, buying the most unnecessary items, but you live and learn. After trial and error, I learned what I needed and what fits our lifestyle. Now that my son is two years old, I’ve had a reasonable amount of time to see what products worked for my baby and me. If you’re a new mom, I can personally say I understand how hard it is to narrow down what is beneficial without wasting money. Today, I’m sharing eight items that you can purchase from your local Walmart that are must-have baby essentials. I hope this list helps start a clear picture of items to focus on when creating your baby registry or just shopping in general. Scroll below to check out my list of must-have baby items.
Perfect for multi-tasking mommy’s who need both hands but can’t put the baby down.

The right baby products don’t just come easy. When we started researching everything we knew we needed and wanted for our little one, product reviews and seeing live demonstrations were everything. Was the product too bulky? Did it provide everything we were looking for? Those were a few of the questions we asked when searching for a stroller. We came across Ergobaby originally when I decided to try out babywearing and was referred to give their carriers a try by so many moms. After purchasing the carrier which was the best decision for my busy lifestyle, I decided to dive deeper into their products and see what else they had to offer. Lucky for me, we were just discussing purchasing another stroller that fit our lifestyle more and Ergobaby reached out for an event they were having here in Atlanta for moms and their little ones.
A FUN DAY AT THE PARK WITH ERGOBABY
The Ergobaby Park Meetup was such a fun time. They had an ambassador come to chat with us more about the carrier and the Ergobaby 180 Reversible Stroller shown in the picture above. She pointed out the amazing features that I love about the stroller such as the reversible handlebar, extra storage located under-seat storage basket & seatback pocket, it’s lightweight, and my favorite, the one hand fold. I know you’re reading this like okay that sounds interesting but really a one-hand fold and reversible handlebar, yea right. You can check out the Ergobaby stroller in more detail here but the handlebar moves in whatever direction you want baby facing. So if you’re ready for your baby to start facing the world, just move the handlebar and you’re right behind them every step of the way. If they’re not quite ready for that yet like our little one, you have the option to keep them facing you.
When it comes to traveling and being out exploring the city, having a stroller that is lightweight at only 20 lbs. and easy to fold, load and go is super important, especially when it’s just me and KJ out. It’s also perfect for our days in the park like at the Ergobaby event at Piedmont Park which allows us to enjoy the day and he’s comfortable even when the temps are rising with the tri-zone padded seat and the mesh that still allows a good breeze to come in and still blocking the sun.
The meetup was such a great time connecting with other moms and learning other tips and tricks about the Ergobaby 180 Reversible Stroller. Thanks again Ergobaby for a great day for us moms and our little ones.

This child’s love post is sponsored by James Avery. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
When I found out that I was pregnant, I could already feel my heart growing x10. The day our little one was born and as soon as I saw him, the love I already had from the nine months of carrying him until that point was unbelievable. I’ve wanted to find a piece that I could wear every day even when I am not near him that just reminded me of his love. I received an invite to attend a James Avery in-store shopping event at their Forum location and knew this would be the perfect opportunity to find something. James Avery Jewelry is designed to reflect on things that are important in your life, and this couldn’t be a more important moment. As I browsed the store looking at all of the timeless pieces, I spotted a beautiful bracelet and knew this was the one.
The bracelet read love and I immediately thought of the love I felt on the day we welcomed KJ into this world and brought him home. Being a mom and loving your child can mean a million things. All you want is to be the best every day to provide the best for your child. One thing is for sure you’ll learn to lower your expectations about what you can accomplish in a day. Some days, it will be all you can do to keep baby safe, warm, and fed. And that will be enough. A mother and sons love is like no other and to have another automatic Valentine this year along with my husband feels amazing.
Love comes in many forms, and it should be cherished. No matter who your Valentine is this year, you can shop at James Avery by clicking here or in-store to find the piece that tells your love story.

On May 24th, the biggest blessing we’ve ever received arrived in our family. Our beautiful baby boy was born into the world. Marcus Keith Crockett Jr. (KJ) It’s so funny to see the picture above because it was taken about three days before I had him and had no clue he’d be coming soon after.
