When it comes to what foods our little one can and can’t try we’ve been super vocal on this. I’ve been making about 90% of his food and it’s actually been a great benefit for him. Being our first baby, we have done so much first-time parent research on timelines to do this and that, and introducing certain foods at the right time was huge for us. Every baby is very different so what works for us may not work for you and that is something everyone must understand. I said 90% of the time I make his food because there are weeks or days when things get real and I just don’t have the time, and that’s human. I decided if he was going to have snacks or food that I wasn’t making that it still needed to be organic and not filled with sweeteners. Yogurt is one of his favorite snacks and I’ve made it a few times, but when I came across Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt I knew we had to give it a try.
STONYFIELD YOBABY REVIEW
Our little one started eating yogurt as one of his first food, at about 6 months old. We spoke to his pediatrician about it and one thing she reminded us of is that while cow’s milk has to be consumed after babies turn one year old, yogurt is different because of the live and active cultures helping to digest the lactose. Stonyfield YoBaby Yogurt is the #1 pediatrician recommended yogurt for babies and kids 6 months to 2 years among refrigerated yogurts.
One of his favorite flavors is the Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Banana Mango with probiotics and I love it too because it does not contain any added sweeteners.
So not only is he still eating healthy but his diet contains all of the healthy things we want to keep him on track of eating and excludes all of the things we want to keep out. Because Stonyfield YoBaby is certified organic, that means it’s always made without artificial flavors or preservatives, toxic persistent pesticides, artificial hormones, antibiotics, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Stonyfield has been around 19 years with its first organic yogurt launching in 1999. When a brand has history and is a known trusted product moms love, you have a winner. Stonyfield is also the only organic baby yogurt in plant-based packaging. Stonyfield YoBaby comes in cups made of PLA cups (meaning, made from plants!) because Stonyfield heard from moms that they were concerned with polystyrene packaging – plus plant-based packaging has a lower carbon footprint. One other benefit is the ease of packing the yogurt in any bag and not worrying about spills. It’s one of his main snacks we take to his daycare daily in his little backpack.
He can’t choose what he puts in his body yet so we do our best to help him and so far, he’s been loving everything. The older he gets the more the texture of his food continues to change and I actually prefer the thicker and creamy textures like Stonyfield YoBaby Yogurt because it’s less of a mess while feeding and less of a mess when he’s practicing self-feeding.
Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt is clearly one of his favorite snack time treats and the added health benefits make it one of mine. Have you tried Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt for your little one? What is your favorite flavor?
