So when you’re visiting a new place it’s so hard to figure out where to go and what to do while you’re there. Lucky for us, we had an amazing itinerary of events planned daily so we didn’t have to scavenger around to find things to do. Today I’m going to highlight a few of the amazing companies we got to explore in Springfield, Missouri.
Zen 3 Spa: On Day one, we started our evening with a foot massage/lemon grass treatment at Zen 3 Spa. We entered a room fixed up for us and enjoyed a quiet time of relaxing and being pampered. This place was so relaxing and what I needed after a long morning of travel and flight delays. I personally believe when you’re traveling you can find a place like this on your first day to get you rejuvenated for the rest of your trip to do it!
Creative Escape Glass: Out of all the activities on our itinerary I think this would be one of my top 5. As a kid you love arts and crafts and making all types of things you didn’t know you could. No matter how bad your work may be you still had a great time and it’s surpassingly relaxing. No phones, no computers, just you and your art tools. It was so fun creating our pieces and clearly I am not an artist but Marcus went all out creating the Nike sign. ha.
About CEG: Creative Escape Glass LLC is a fused glass open studio where you can learn how to make your own fused glass pieces! Open studio time will allow you to create according to your schedule, once you learn the basics. No experience is necessary.
Askinosie Chocolate: Askinosie Chocolate is a small batch bean to bar chocolate manufacturer located in Springfield, Missouri, sourcing 100% of their beans directly from the farmers. Who doesn’t love chocolate? I could eat it all the time even when I know I shouldn’t but who can resist when you get the chance to visit a chocolate factory. A full chocolate factory like simply amazing. Not only is the chocolate here good, the owner Shawn Askinosie has a ton of awesome initiatives with giving back to the community. Great sweets plus you know the company has good intentions behind their brand is good in my book.
I could honestly go on and on about the amazing businesses we had the chance to come across but I definitely wanted to highlight a few just in case you were interested in where to go when you’re in Springfield.
