Happy Tuesday! And Happy Birthday week to me!! I’m so excited to celebrate my birthday this year and I have so many things to be thankful for. Labor Day weekend was a success and not only did we spend time with family, we celebrated our good friends wedding which was beautiful!

We’ve been on like a wedding marathon this summer attending so many and I honestly ran out of ideas of what to wear and I personally didn’t want to keep buying things that I probably wouldn’t have another similar event coming up to wear it again. Then, I discovered Rent The Runway. Long story short, you can rent designer dresses, clothing, and accessories for a certain amount of time for an AMAZING price and return it without having to deal with the “wear will I wear this again” question. Or, that $1,000 dress you’ve had your eye on and wanted to purchase but couldn’t get yourself to make that kind of commitment, you can now rent for about $80. Sounds like a steal to me. This Yigal Azrouël dress retails for $990!! I wanted a dress of this style for the wedding but I couldn’t find one anywhere for a good price range and there’s no way I would pay over a $100 for a dress for one day. I found this dress on RTR and instantly fell in love. I checked my size, the date I needed to rent it, and booked it. So simple, so easy, and the dress was here enough days before so if for some reason it didn’t work I had time to exchange it and get something else. Luckily, the first size I picked worked great, and I loved this dress. It was a hit and I was able to also pick a great bag to pair with it by Zac Posen which retails for $495.

What are your thoughts on dress and accessory rentals? Would you rather just outright own the dress or every now and then wear designer brands you wouldn’t normally purchase for half the price?

Although the items in this post were compensated by RTR, all opinions are my own.

I love the Zac Posen bag – I’ve had my eye on it for a while 😉 Your dress color reminds me of one of Pantone’s Colors of the Year which is rose quartz. Very pretty!
